It was great to see so many youngsters back for our first Fusion of the autumn last night. There were 36! Along with all the games, catching up with friends and tuck shop we spent some time looking at a poem in the Bible (Psalm 1). One line of the Psalm talks about those who delight in God's word: "He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers." The tree and stream in the picture is made up of a collection of Bible verses that were glued on by Fusion members. Sadly, it was Charlotte's last Fusion with us (she's on the left in the picture). We pray for her as she goes off to Bath university later this month and also for Matt. (another leader), who is also leaving us to train to be a Merchant Navy Officer at Southampton Uni. |
