Dear friends We are writing this as we prepare to leave the UK for Nairobi on Thursday 20th August. We have much to thank the Lord for over the last 9 weeks. We had 2 weeks holiday in Ramsgate and then, from our base in Redbourn, St Albans, we managed to visit 13 churches and give 14 talks, attend a CMS conference, see the family, attend three major birthday celebrations and end up with Caroline's sister's wedding. All in all it was a wonderful time and we come away re-energised and refreshed in spirit. Points for prayer as we go back are: 1. Dick is co-facilitating a lecturer-training course at St Paul's University from 24-28 August. Pray that he will soon get back into the swing of things once we arrive. 2. Caroline starts teaching at the Presbyterian University in Kikuyu in September. She has been assigned East African church history instead of systematic theology, which was a bit of a surprise. Pray for wisdom as she prepares. 3. Pray for the logistics of setting up home in Kikuyu as we face the difficult task of trying to get the electricity bill transferred into our name. 4. Pray that we will find a church in the local area. With our love Caroline and Dick |
