Stephen Fry and atheism

6/2/2015

What should we make of Stephen Fry's angry outburst where he branded God as an 'evil maniac'? Of course it touches on the age old question: "How can a God of love allow suffering?" An issue that the Bible grapples with in a number of ways.

However, if you are looking at a helpful response to Stephen Fry, then one good response is that of Krish Kandiah.

Dr Krish Kandiah Quote: "........a central doctrine of the Christian faith is that God created a good and perfect world and after the fall of humanity nothing is fully as it should be. To blame God for natural disasters and childhood cancer is like blaming the landlord after tenants have trashed their house."
