The suggestion made in the above sermon that all healings pre-suppose forgiveness of sins is probably, in retrospect, going too far. Clearly, any healing is a gracious act of God, despite our sin, but a healing on its own may not evidence forgiveness of sins. For example in Matthew's gospel, Jesus does condemn Capernaum, where many miracles were done, for failing to repent and implies that the town is still under God's judgement (Matthew 11:23).
