The comments below were sent in through our online Pandemic Experience form. We are encouraging people to reflect on their experience of the pandemic under four headings: Thanksgiving, Lament, Learning and Prayer.

Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is how I begin my prayer time, and I give thanks for His protection, His provision, and for things that He has done for others also. Being grateful for my salvation and His faithfulness to me always.

Lament
I will be really honest and say that what I really long for (and daily pray for) is to see the church across this nation develop a strong heart for reaching the lost. Thousands of lives have been lost in this pandemic, both here and around the world. I wonder just how many of those will be at the marriage supper of the Lamb. I fear that many will not. This is probably what I feel most fervent about just at this time we are now in.

Learning
Jesus said to His disciples 'Go into all the world and preach the Gospel'. I have come to the place where it is less about what I want, and more about engaging with the passion I now have for the lost through prayer . My focus is moving away from myself, which is liberating.

Prayer
To continue to have a passion for prayer for the church nationwide to be more outward looking to the real spiritual needs of our local communities, and beyond.
